The Selenis Portugal production unit for specialised polyesters is composed of different polycondensation lines, able to produce an expansive range of specialty polyesters for a wide range of applications. Flexible batch and continuous SSP units permit the production of a wide range of polymers to meet customers’ needs. This configuration provides Selenis Portugal the flexibility to produce both amorphous and crystallised products.
The industrial site in Italy is strategically located in northern Italy, a very important logistics position to serve the most sophisticated market for the copolyester industry. The facility has a flexible configuration for the processing multiple formulations, resulting in the production of very special products that fit customers’ needs and provide different options to satisfy the demands and requirements of the final user.
The production in Tunisia focuses on specialty polyesters, primarily PETG, through a combination of flexible batch operations, a continuous line, and a solid-state polymerisation (SSP) unit. The process configuration provides significant flexibility, enabling the manufacture of both amorphous and crystallised products, as well as different PETG and PCTG grades. The facility is integrated within a large industrial zone and benefits from its coastal location, offering excellent access to port facilities.
Starting in 2025, part of the Cedar Creek facility will be transformed into an innovation hub. The site will feature two dedicated lines producing 100% advanced recycled PET for the textile industry through the SYRE partnership. The remaining capacity will be repurposed to manufacture PETG and other specialty products serving the healthcare and general-purpose markets. With an onsite laboratory, railcar loading facilities, and direct railroad access, along with proximity to key supply chain partners, the facility achieves strong production efficiencies. Operating as a logistics hub serving the United States market since 2023, Cedar Creek ensures global supply security through its U.S. operations, supported by two European production plants as backup.
All of our products are subject to strict and rigorous quality tests at our in-house laboratories. Our industrial units count on regular maintenance and modernisation to assure the consistent high quality of our products.
